Cumhuriyetin İlanından 2000’lere Türkiye’de İdeoloji ve Dinî Temsilin Siyasal Dönüşümü

Bu çalışma, Cumhuriyet’in ilanından 2000’lere kadar Türkiye’de ideoloji ve dinî temsilin geçirdiği siyasal dönüşümü tarihsel ve kavramsal bir çerçevede incelemektedir. Çalışmada öncelikle ideoloji kavramı, Destutt de Tracy’den Marx, Gramsci, Althusser ve Mannheim’a uzanan düşünsel hat üzerinden ele alınmakta; ideolojinin gündelik hayatı, toplumsal rızayı ve siyasal meşruiyeti şekillendiren dinamik bir anlamlandırma rejimi olduğu ortaya konulmaktadır. Bu teorik çerçeve doğrultusunda Türkiye örneği, Osmanlı bakiyesi, merkez-çevre ilişkisi, kurucu ideolojinin din politikaları, çok partili hayata geçiş, askerî darbeler ve dinî temsilin siyasal alandaki yeniden kuruluşu ekseninde değerlendirilmektedir. Çalışmanın temel iddiası, Türkiye’de din ile ideolojinin birbirinden bağımsız iki alan olmaktan ziyade tarihsel olarak iç içe geçmiş, zaman zaman çatışan, zaman zaman birbirini besleyen ve karşılıklı biçimde yeniden üreten yapılar olarak okunması gerektiğidir. Bu bağlamda erken Cumhuriyet döneminde dinin devlet denetimi altında yeniden tanımlandığı, Demokrat Parti ile dinî temsilin toplumsal talepler aracılığıyla siyasal görünürlük kazandığı, darbeler dönemlerinde ise dinin yeniden sınırlandırılan fakat aynı zamanda farklı biçimlerde yeniden üretilen bir alan hâline geldiği gösterilmektedir. Sonuç olarak çalışma, Türkiye’de dinî temsilin siyasal alandaki dönüşümünün devlet politikaları, toplumsal talepler ve siyasal kırılmalar arasındaki karşılıklı etkileşim içerisinde şekillendiğini; din ile ideolojinin tarihsel süreç boyunca birbirini etkileyen ve yeniden üreten yapılar olarak varlığını sürdürdüğünü ortaya koymaktadır.

This study examines the transformation of ideology and religious representation in Turkey from the proclamation of the Republic to the 2000s within a historical and conceptual framework. First, the concept of ideology is discussed through a line of thought extending from Destutt de Tracy to Marx, Gramsci, Althusser, and Mannheim, and it is argued that ideology should be understood not merely as an abstract system of ideas but as a dynamic regime of meaning that shapes everyday life, social consent, and political legitimacy. Within this theoretical framework, the Turkish case is analyzed through the Ottoman legacy, center-periphery relations, the founding ideology’s policies toward religion, the transition to multi-party politics, military coups, and the reconstruction of religious representation in the political sphere. The central argument of the study is that religion and ideology in Turkey should not be treated as two separate domains; rather, they should be understood as historically intertwined structures that sometimes conflict, sometimes reinforce one another, and continuously reproduce each other. In this context, the study demonstrates that in the early Republican period religion was redefined under state control; with the rise of the Democrat Party, religious representation gained political visibility through social demands; and during coup periods religion became a field that was both restricted and reproduced in new forms. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that the transformation of religious representation in the political sphere in Türkiye has been shaped through the reciprocal interaction of state policies, societal demands, and major political ruptures. It further reveals that religion and ideology have persisted throughout the historical process as mutually constitutive structures, continuously influencing and redefining one another.
